Description of Work
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) is tackling the big challenges in beef production, blending cutting-edge research with practical solutions to help producers thrive.

As the Beef Research Project Coordinator, you will:
  • Coordinate with Beef Feedlot Unit Manager, weighing, sorting, and allotting of cattle on nutrition experiments.
  • Collect experimental data, cattle weights, feed records and packing house data.
  • Assist beef nutrition faculty in the design of nutrition experiments and formulation of experimental rations.
  • Compile, summarize and statistically analyze data from experiments.
  • Procure special feed ingredients and supplies.
  • Coordinate research of graduate students conducted at Beef Feedlot Unit.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related field, plus three (3) years of research experience; OR
  • Master’s degree in animal science or related field plus one (1) year of research experience.
  • Project management and/or supervisory experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of the beef nutrition system and industry.
  • Experience with data and statistical analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Animal production experience preferred but not required.
