| Description of Work | The Security Manager is responsible for managing protective services and security operations at Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). The person in this position is charged with ensuring the safety and security of the museum’s staff, visitors, volunteers, and works of art included in the museum’s collection and exhibitions. They develop and implement security and safety policies that align with best practices in the art museum field and contributes to an inclusive and welcoming environment for all museum staff, volunteers, students, and visitors. The Security Manager serves as liaison to UNL’s University Police Department and the museum’s contracted security firm and is the first point of contact for security and building alarms on all Sheldon Museum of Art properties 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
