Why this role, why now.
This position is critical for the success of the college, particularly as it pertains to the national accreditation and state certification requirements for our educator preparation programs. We also have several nationally accredited programs across the college – each of our five departments has at least one accredited program. The need for this position certainly extends beyond accreditation. Improving the student experience, both in and out of the classroom, is a priority given the current importance of attracting and retaining students in our challenging budget climate. This position will also be important to help us strengthen and develop new enrollment pathways, including community colleges and online initiatives.
