Description of Work
The Dining Services Team Leader provides supervision and leadership to dining service workers in one or more areas of the kitchen/dining room.

As a Dining Services Team Leader you will:
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff/students to ensure food quality, recipes, and presentation meet dining standards.
  • Assist leadership to build schedules, plan menus, forecast, maintain records, and develop recipes.
  • Perform all tasks in dining services including setting up and closing down stations, cooking, re-stocking, recipe/ingredient preparation, operate the computer, cashiering, taking inventory, operating dish machine, and cleaning.
  • Assist with staff training and monitoring cost and waste controls.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the patrons of the dining center.
  • This position is considered essential.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma plus three years of food preparation experience and mastery of all dining/kitchen tasks and attributes.
  • Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary.
  • Flexibility, ability to communicate and being a team player essential.
  • Must have the ability to train and lead others.
  • Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances. No
