Description of Work
The University of Nebraska Performance Nutrition Program is currently accepting applications for a Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition. The Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition will assist the Assistant AD of Performance Nutrition with implementing daily performance oversight, the development of the nutrition program, and executing nutrition operations for the Olympic Sports. This position will have a managerial role with Olympic dietitians along with sport oversight.
The Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition is responsible for the leadership, development and execution of nutrition programs for all Olympic student athletes including design, implementation, and evaluation. Along with oversight of RED-S student athletes.

Must be able to work a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and travel if needed with the team.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field or master’s degree in nutrition or Master’s degree in a related field with DPD requirements.
  • Three years experience as a dietitian.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of collegiate or professional sports or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Experience with oversight of other dietitians
  • Experience working with RED-S athletes
  • CPR certified
  • Serv Safe or Food Handlers Permit
Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required No
Physical Required No
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances. No
