Description of Work
  • Develop and coordinate athletic performance initiatives for Nebraska Football in collaboration with a multidisciplinary performance staff to support the health, preparation, and performance of football student-athletes.
  • Collaborate daily with members of the multidisciplinary performance team—including Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Medicine, NAPL, Sports Psychology, and Sports Nutrition—to monitor athlete readiness, communicate health and performance status, and support integrated performance strategies.
  • Work directly with football coaches and strength and conditioning staff to design and implement strategies that enhance individual and team athletic performance.
  • Educate and guide student-athletes in evidence-based recovery strategies to support improved health, readiness, and performance.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years working at a NCAA institution, professional sports organization or other elite sporting institution on athletic performance initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with athletic department or professional sports team staff in multiple performance areas (e.g., strength and conditioning, sports psychology, athletic medicine, sports nutrition) on athletic performance initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets. Interdisciplinary experience assisting in the return-to-play process following an injury.
  • Experience in the development and growth of programs.
