| Description of Work | The Department of Finance of the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in partnership with the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Practice position in finance starting fall 2026. This is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track, teaching-focused, career-oriented position. Professors of Practice are hired on multi-year contracts that are renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The initial appointment for this position is for a term of up to three years. Responsibilities will include 80% teaching (four sections each Fall and Spring semesters, or annual equivalent) and 20% service. The main teaching responsibilities will be a course on navigating emerging technologies in business (BSAD 340) and Introduction to Finance (FINA 361H) in the Raikes School program. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with Big Ten Universities. About the Department of Finance The Department has 14 finance faculty members serving undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs. The department and college have excellent data resources and access to WRDS. Current faculty members have recent publications in many of the leading journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others.
