Description of Work
The Dining Associate is a key position within University Dining Services.
As a Dining Service Associate, you will perform tasks in multiple areas/functions within the Dining Center, such as:
  • Perform kitchen duties; including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling recipes.
  • Set up and tear down stations
  • Dish machine operations.
  • Build recipes based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes.
  • Monitor food quality, food presentation, and control food waste.
  • Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
  • This position is considered essential and may have weekend or evening shifts.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High School education plus one year of experience in a work environment required; equivalency considered. Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary. Flexibility, ability to communicate and being a team player essential. Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs required.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances. No
