| Description of Work | The Associate Registrar is responsible for the care, conservation, and documentation of Sheldon Museum of Art’s collection of approximately 13,000 artworks. The person in this position identifies condition and conservation needs, contracts for and oversees conservation treatments, and assists in maintaining the museum’s collection database. They also oversee daily care and use of collections—including outdoor sculpture—striving for a balance between accessibility and preservation. The Associate Registrar manages requests for copyright use and reproduction of works in the collection, as well as image rights and other contracts for museum publications. Some travel, both domestic and international, is required.
