| Description of Work | Create, prepare budget, research, produce, write, shoot, and edit content for Nebraska Public Media Television original, promotion and contract productions. Produces and/or directs studio, remote, and web streaming projects. Projects include multi-camera studio and ENG field productions. Produce, write, shoot, and edit short and long-form features with social and mobile components. Creation of promotional content including writing and editing. Ensure effective production of station’s brand identity. Forms of content include multi-camera studio and remote productions, web streaming, plus crafting additional pre-taped and edited features. Will work with a team of producers responsible for all of Nebraska Public Media original multi-platform programming. Will effectively work and communicate with project partners, other community members and internal Nebraska Public Media staff. This position may also create and maintain content on assigned social media and web/mobile sites and apps. Irregular hours and travel may be required on occasion. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. They will have the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, utilize excellent organizational skills, and have the ability to work in a cross-platform environment. A commitment to increase skill and gain experience in all areas, especially in the multi-camera and field production television environment and script writing is necessary. Candidates will have the ability to work and communicate with community members and internal Nebraska Public Media staff. |
