Want to join a dynamic team of Residential Property Managers? We are looking for someone to join our Residential Property team here at Speedway Properties.

Job overview

In this role, you will assist the Residential Property Managers to ensure the efficient overall operation and profitable performance to exceed company standards in marketing, occupancy, collections, expense control, property maintenance and curb appeal, as well as resident relations.

Standard Hours:

Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday | 9 am to 6 pm

Saturday | 10am-4pm

Occasional marketing/outreach efforts outside of standard hours.

All days include a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Here are the specifics:


General Leasing (including but not limited to):

  • Adhere to company leasing process and all guidelines.
  • Professionally respond to all prospect correspondence including phone calls, emails and text messages.
  • Schedule and host tours for all interested prospects.
  • Enter all prospect data and tour information in Yardi accurately and manage appropriate follow-up.
  • Facilitate resident screening including credit/background, rental verification, employment/income verification.
  • Execute all required lease paperwork including creation of lease documents, setting up lease dates, rentable items, and other lease charges and ensuring execution by all parties.
  • Confirm apartments are ready for prospects prior to tours and tenants prior to pre-move in.
  • Monitor vacancy reports and implement strategies to reduce days-on-market.
  • Consistently achieve personal and property monthly leasing goals.

Resident Management (including but not limited to):

  • Perform resident move-in duties and orientation.
  • Track accurate records within Yardi and all other systems inclusive of insurance compliance and notices.
  • Assist in coordination of work orders with maintenance team.
  • Maintain positive resident relations.

Marketing/Retention/Miscellaneous (including but not limited to):

  • Set up “mini-model” and clean amenity area each day.
  • Provide regular updates to Property Manager and residents, as needed.
  • Perform outreach marketing as directed by Manager, including maintaining social medial accounts as needed.
  • Constantly work to improve processes; make suggestions for productivity improvements, and optimize team member workflow, while continuing to meet our customers’ needs. (Should be in every job description)
  • Provide APM related support to additional Speedway residential properties as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed in this position:

  • Experience in customer service.
  • Strong computer skills required including proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with YARDI and Rent Café is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and evidence of vehicle insurance, or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
  • Able to quickly adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and juggle multiple job functions.
  • Must be punctual with strong leadership skills and high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills required.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of Residential Property Management.
  • Knowledge of general business and accounting concepts and must be proficient in math.
  • Must be able to work in the office 40 hours a week.
