Join Our Team as a Personal Trainer – Make a Difference in the Lives of Older Adults!


Aging Partners plans, coordinates, and advocates for older adults across an eight-county area. Our mission is to enhance daily living, expand personal choices, and educate the community to support independence and a full, vibrant life for the people we serve.


We’re seeking a compassionate and energetic Personal Trainer to work directly with older adults, helping them stay active, strong, and confident through personalized fitness programs.

Schedule:

  • Two days per week of one-on-one personal training sessions (approximately 6 hours per day)
  • Additional hours may be available teaching group fitness classes

This is a great opportunity to use your fitness expertise to make a real impact while enjoying a consistent, part-time schedule.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build meaningful relationships with fitness center participants to encourage positive experiences and outcomes
  • Create customized training programs tailored to individual needs, goals, and abilities
  • Educate clients on safe and effective use of fitness equipment
  • Assist participants in completing intake and health questionnaires; submit forms to staff for data entry
  • Teach group fitness classes as needed (optional additional hours)
  • Represent Aging Partners at community events, workshops, and resource fairs
  • Contribute to wellness-related TV programs, special events, and health education initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for fitness and a genuine interest in working with older adults
  • Experience in leading physical activity programs, ideally for special or older populations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Creativity in finding new ways to engage and support clients
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and confident in working independently and handling emergencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Personal Trainer certification
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
