As Aquatics Assistant Pool Manager - Star City Shores, you’ll work closely with the Pool Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing:- Assisting with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff
- Supporting a diverse team including lifeguards, swim and dive coaches, swim instructors, cashiers, and concession staff
- Helping oversee general maintenance and water quality
- Ensuring the safety of patrons, staff, and the aquatic facility, including concession areas
- Providing consistent, fair, and tactful enforcement of pool rules and regulations
- Serving as a positive role model and leader
What We're Looking For:- Be skilled in dealing with the public
- Have strong leadership and communication skills
- Have the ability to stay calm, professional, and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Have a team-oriented mindset with attention to safety and detail
Schedule: Variable hours between 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. daily. Approximately 30-40 hours per week during operational period (late May to mid-August), and as needed from January until pool opening for interviews and facility preparation.
Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 19 years of age or older
Must Have two (2) or more years of experience as a Head Lifeguard or Assistant Swimming Pool Manager
Must have or obtain a current LLCHD Pool Operators permit and current Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Must obtain a current LLCHD Food Handlers Permit

The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln.
Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
