Make a Difference in Your Community as a Public Health Nurse!
Join the dedicated team at the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, where your nursing skills will directly impact the health and well-being of our community. In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care through nursing triage, assessment, intervention, and evaluation—all with the goal of connecting clients to the care and resources they need most.
You’ll administer and provide education on immunizations for children and adults, conduct health assessments, treatment, and education in specialized clinics such as the Sexual Health/Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Clinic as well as the Refugee Clinic. You will also collaborate with community partners to improve access to health care and promote community wellness.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing or other recognized accrediting body.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in public health nursing is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of community resources, the nursing process, communicable and chronic disease, client readiness for change, and social determinants of health is desired.
