Role Overview
The Finance Data Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial and operational reporting to support FMNE’s accounting, finance, and compliance needs. This role partners closely with Financial Reporting, Accounting, Actuarial, and IT teams to design, build, and maintain Workday financial reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and alignment with insurance regulatory and business requirements.
Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain Workday financial management reports and dashboards including:
- Standard, matrix, composite, and advanced reports.
- Calculated fields and condition rules.
- Support reporting across key insurance finance areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Billing, and Revenue.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across Workday financials.
- Partner with Accounting and Financial Reporting to resolve data discrepancies and improve data quality.
- Support data validation during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles.
- Develop reporting solutions for management to support insurance-specific requirements including:
- Statutory reporting.
- Regulatory audits and examinations.
- MAR and internal control reporting.
- Document report logic, data sources, and business definitions to support audit and compliance reviews.
- Partner with Financial Reporting, Accounting, Executive, and FP&A teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into Workday solutions.
- Provide end-user support and training for Workday financial reports.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for Workday financial reporting capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency.
- Stay current on Workday releases and new reporting features.
- Support Workday financial enhancements, testing cycles, and system upgrades.
- Lead various reporting projects, as directed by management.
- Regular and prompt attendance in the office is an essential function of the position.

Skills and Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in financial reporting, data analytics, or financial systems.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting concepts and reporting processes.
- Experience working in or supporting an insurance or financial services organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience with insurance statutory reporting or regulatory environments.
- Workday Financials certification(s) or implementation experience.
- Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of MAR controls and audit support.
- Advanced Excel skills.
