Purpose of Job	Do you enjoy helping people and practicing hospitality? If so, you’ll love being a Summer Team Lead! Though most students have left for the summer, Doane continues to be an active campus, hosting many camps and conferences. Summer Team Leads (SETL’s) Intern would represent Doane by going above and beyond to aid guests and other staff staying in our residence halls.
General Description and Duties	REPRESENT Be the “go-to” person for guests & SECA’s, prioritizing daily communication and accessibility. Track guest arrival and departure by checking in and out keys and keycards. Share helpful knowledge about Doane’s campus and the city of Crete. Help guests with dorm room issues and lockouts, and develop hospitality skills. Help SECA’s learn and keep up with tasks assigned. OTHER TASKS Assist the Event Services Department in April and May with preparations for the Board of Trustees, Commencement, and other end-of-year programs and events. Assist facilities and custodial staff to ensure that Residence Halls and Rooms are clean and ready for guests. Work alongside Event Services to complete occasional office-related duties. Carefully maintain inventory of keys, key cards, signage, and other materials. Be prepared to help with other duties as assigned, such as custodial work before and after camps. PAY & BENEFITS Paid $15.00 hourly for 40 hours of work to be completed between April 15 and May 18, based on 10 hours +/- per week. Paid salary $600 per week (11 weeks – May 19 through July 31, 2026) based on 40-hour +/- work week. FREE campus housing and FREE meals when conferences and camps are in session. Special Skills or Knowledge Required	This position does NOT allow for additional jobs or summer research projects.
Total Weekly Hours Required	April 15 - May 18: 10 hours +/- per week. May 19 - Jul 31: 40-hour +/- per week.
