Lincoln Parks & Recreation is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Office Assistant to help keep our department running smoothly and our community connected to great parks, facilities, and recreation opportunities. What You'll Do
  • Be a welcoming front-line contact, providing friendly and accurate customer service at our front counter and by phone.
  • Assist customers with facility and park reservations, permits, special use requests, and general department information.
  • Support administrative operations through data entry, document preparation, records management, and cash handling.
  • Coordinate reservations and maintain event information in our facility reservation system, including annual usage reports.
  • Serve as recording secretary for advisory committees by preparing agendas, distributing materials, and taking minutes.
  • Help maintain department systems such as UPLNK requests, Microsoft 365 files and calendars, and website updates.
  • Collaborate with staff across districts and divisions to support events, projects, and daily departmental needs.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Coursework in business practices
  • Two years of experience in complex clerical work
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered.
