• Help set up traffic control and safety devices to protect work zones
• Assist with street and drainage system maintenance
  • Concrete and asphalt repair
  • Crack sealing and backfilling

  • Traffic signal and fiber locating

  • Pavement marking (layout, striping, and paint application)

  • Installing and removing signs and signposts

  • Repairing or disassembling signal equipment

• Operate vehicles and equipment

• Perform general maintenance work of facilities, equipment and materials

• Involves working outside in all types of weather
• Regularly lifts, carries, stacks, and loads materials weighing 50 pounds
• Lifts and operates equipment weighing up to 90 pounds

These are Full-time, Temporary positions and are not eligible for benefits.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4 PM or Monday - Thursday; 6 AM - 4:30 PM (Hours may vary based on division/seasonal needs, subject to changes/OT during emergencies)

Desired: Some general laboring experience. This is general laboring work with duties to include participating in activities related to the installation and maintenance of traffic pavement markings and traffic signs, and general shop work.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license.
