Job Posting Information

The City Attorney’s Office is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Prosecution Assistant to provide part-time administrative and technical support within the Prosecution Division. This specialized role focuses on managing information within the office’s case management systems, coordinating electronic data, importing tickets, and helping maintain confidential legal case files and records.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the division’s case management systems to collect, review, and organize electronic data
  • Import tickets and verify accuracy and completeness of information
  • Maintain, update, and organize confidential legal case files and records
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and division staff
  • Assist with routine office tasks and special projects as assigned

Desirable Knowledge, Abilities & Skills/Desirable Training & Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of criminal and civil court processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and file management
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information
  • Proficiency with computers and case management or database systems
  • Prior experience in a legal, court, or law enforcement setting

Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Coursework or experience in the legal, criminal, or business fields preferred.

Hours-Flexible 4 hours/day between 7:30 am-4:30 pm. Mornings Preferred.
