What You'll Be Doing:

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff
  • Supporting a diverse team including lifeguards, swim and dive coaches, swim instructors, and cashier and concession staff
  • Responsible for general maintenance, water quality and safety of the aquatic facility
  • Providing consistent, fair, and tactful enforcement of pool rules and regulations
  • Serving as a positive role model and leader

  • Have a team-oriented mindset with attention to safety and detail

Compensation and Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages. *This is an unclassified (seasonal) position and not eligible for benefits.

Schedule: Variable hours between 8:00 am – 8:30 pm daily; 30-40 hours per week during the operational period (Late May to mid-August.) As needed from February to pool opening for interviews and facility preparation.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 19 years of age or older

Qualifications: Two (2) or more years of experience as a Head Guard or Assistant Pool Manager. Have or obtain a current LLCHD Pool Operators permit and current Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
