Position Summary:The Estimator/Project Manager will plan, estimate and manage a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. This employee will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This employee will be well versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. Essential Job Functions:- Pre Construction Estimating- Estimate and bid new construction projects.- Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and establish overall estimate requirements required for a complete scope of work.- Develop estimate content and perform quantity take offs- Maintain detailed files of take-offs, pricing from subcontractors and suppliers- Request quotations from vendors, review quotes for accuracy- Negotiate and issue subcontract and supplier agreements- Obtain permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities.- Plan all construction operations and develop project schedules to meet project deadlines- Update and maintain project schedules- Issue subcontracts, material contracts, purchase orders- Evaluate progress and provide detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs. Report budget variances to accounting.- Process change orders to keep project budgets current and accurate.- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field, required.- At least three years of related experience required. Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods standing at a desk and working on a computer.- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
