ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

45% Recurring Operational Tasks & Reporting

  • Process and validate recurring daily, weekly, and monthly system tasks.
  • Execute operational jobs and ensure timely completion of scheduled processes.
  • Generate, review, and distribute recurring reports to stakeholders.
  • Reconcile data discrepancies and escalate anomalies as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for recurring processes and identify opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.


25% Testing, Project Support & Product Setup (Administration System)

  • Execute system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for enhancements and defect fixes.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test data, and test documentation.
  • Support product configuration and setup within the administration system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business requirements.
  • Validate configuration changes and system updates prior to production deployment.
  • Assist in project implementation activities, including data validation and functional verification.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly tested.


20% Production Support & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor, triage, and resolve production incidents and service requests.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document findings, resolutions, and preventive measures.
  • Troubleshoot application defects, data discrepancies, system configuration issues, and integration failures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement code fixes and configuration updates.
  • Support deployments and validate post-production releases.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system stability, monitoring, and support processes.

10% Professional Development & Miscellaneous Responsibities

  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical, analytical, and system knowledge.
  • Stay current with system updates, development tools, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to team process improvements and documentation updates.
  • Assist with ad hoc assignments, cross-training, and special initiatives.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in software development support, application support, or technical analysis.
  • Experience with managing and resolving high priority requests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL and database querying.
  • Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to manage recurring operational responsibilities while responding to urgent production issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with insurance or financial services administration systems.
  • Familiarity with system configuration and product setup.
  • Experience with batch processing and job scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • May require work over 40 hours a week to complete functions and expectations of the position.
  • May require availability to participate in night & weekend "on-call" rotations for production-level system and application outages.
