ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

40% Leads and owns solution design and cross-functional Initiatives, which includes:

  • Evaluating business challenges and opportunities and defining clear, practical solution approaches, with accountability for solution outcomes.
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives such as product implementations, system enhancements, and operational improvements.
  • Facilitating discussions across all stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Defining scope, approach, and success criteria for initiatives and maintaining accountability for achieving intended outcomes.
  • Challenging existing processes and assumptions to design simpler, more effective solutions and improve end-to-end outcomes.
  • Partnering with leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable solutions and deliverable plans.


25% Defines business system direction and solution approach, which includes:

  • Establishing how systems should support business processes, workflows, and user experience.
  • Defining platform usage approaches, configuration direction, and enhancement priorities for key systems, including document generation, enrollment, and sales support platforms.
  • Partnering with technical resources to translate solution designs into system specifications and implementation plans.
  • Ensuring alignment between business needs, operational workflows, and system capabilities.
  • Providing system and integration perspective to inform solution decisions and avoid downstream impacts.

25% Supports process and workflow design across functions, which includes:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to provide input on workflow design, particularly where systems, data, and integrations are involved.
  • Ensuring solutions align with business objectives and operational workflows, with accountability for how solutions perform across teams.
  • Recommending approaches that balance ease of doing business externally with internal discipline and scalability.
  • Bringing a cross-functional perspective to ensure solutions work effectively across upstream and downstream teams.
  • Influencing decision-making across stakeholders and leadership levels without direct authority, building alignment and momentum for change.

10% Performs other functions as assigned, which includes:

  • Participating in company-wide committees and teams.
  • Contributing to special projects and other tasks.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Five or more years' experience in business analysis, systems, operations, product or project-based roles, with demonstrated responsibility for leading cross-functional initiatives and developing solution recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate options and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding how business processes and systems interact, including workflow and integration considerations.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others.
  • Effective planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, decision making, and negotiation skills.
  • Talent required in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, relationship, resourcefulness, persuasion, command, relationship-extension, and exactness.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • May require work beyond standard hours to fulfill job duties.
  • Hybrid position based in Lincoln, NE. Requires three days per week onsite and provides a hybrid schedule with two remote workdays.
